We have to start looking at class as an equality issue rather than just a social mobility issue.It currently seems, however, like class discrimination is pushed to the bottom of the pile. The rich and privately-educated dominate British politics, law and the media, so this very real problem has inevitably never directly affected them.This is a taboo subject but if such sentiments were enshrined in law, employers would have to act.
In comparison, there are at least 20 European countries that have some sort of legal protection of class status,social justice and human rights charity Just Fair. I find it astonishing that the UK is not one of them. If we finally gave them the legal recognition they need, employers and companies would have to take note
