The detection of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC) has already forced the temporary closure of two court rooms this month.
The backlog in criminal trials across Scotland could be exacerbated by a potentially dangerous form of concrete in court buildings, the Lib Dems have warned.
"The fact that the Airdrie court has had to close for remedial work will create extra work for court staff and delay cases from being seen as swiftly as they otherwise might be. "Scottish Liberal Democrats will continue to press the Scottish Government to deliver a national fund to remove RAAC from our public buildings and ensure they are safe for everyone who has to work there."
