MANILA, Philippines — Young big man Kai Sotto and Filipino-American guard Dwight Ramos are already in the country a few days ahead of Gilas Pilipinas' training camp.
MANILA, Philippines — Young big man Kai Sotto and Filipino-American guard Dwight Ramos are already in the country a few days ahead of Gilas Pilipinas' training camp.The two other members of the Gilas pool, Fil-Cypriot big man AJ Edu and Carl Tamayo will join later this week. Sotto , Ramos and Edu are all playing in the Japan B.League, while Tamayo hooked up with the Changwon LG Sakers in the Korean Basketball League.
The national squad faces off with New Zealand on November 21, followed by Hong Kong on November 24, with both games to be played at the Mall of Asia Arena.Among the three though, the 6-foot-10 Edu will be joining the training camp under Cone for the first time since recovering fully from a knee injury he sustained late last year while playing for the Toyama Grouses in the Japan B.League.
