KAI Sotto is leaving no stones unturned in his quest to get better as he works in the gym under Filipino strength and conditioning coach Mel Lantin at the Fit Twenty One gym in Las Piñas City.The 7-foot-3 Filipino slotman recently concluded his Japan B.League stint with the Yokohama B-Corsairs, where he averaged 12.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 34 games this season.The Japanese club team announced on Tuesday that it is parting ways with the Gilas Pilipinas mainstay.
Knowing the tough battle ahead, starting this July when Gilas Pilipinas faces world-class foreign squads Latvia and Georgia in the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, Latvia, Lantin said he has been supervising Sotto's gym work starting in January this year.'Kai has only been with us for the past three months since we just started last January,' Lantin said in Filipino. 'What I've been doing is totality or whole body development.
