) -It’s a new era for the Alabama Crimson Tide with Kalen DeBoer taking over after legendary head coach Nick Saban retired earlier this year. And while DeBoer already has a winning track record he says he’s leaned on some of the returning tide players to help him learn the Bama culture.
DeBoer credited Jalen Milroe, Malachi Moore, and Tyler Booker as three of players who helped lead this team in the first 72 hours after Saban’s retirement. Leadership like this fits in perfectly with Coach DeBoer’s desire to have the tide be a player led team. “He kind of lets his players take over and lead a team but when he has stuff on his mind, he definitely voices it,” said defensive back Malachi Moore.
