Vice President Kamala Harris has officially conceded the 2024 election, calling President-elect Donald Trump to offer her congratulations on Wednesday, US time. Harris, a senior aide said, “called President-elect Trump to congratulate him on winning the 2024 presidential election. She discussed the importance of a peaceful transfer of power and being a president for all Americans.” A person familiar tells CNN the call only lasted a few minutes.
“An incredibly tough day as well for Democrats across the country and up and down that ticket,” he said. “Kamala Harris has already called now President-elect Donald Trump. She’s made that formal concession. “We’re now just waiting for her to take the stage here at Howard University with where she will offer the same concession to her supporters and the nation as well. “This day could not have been any better for Republicans up and down the ticket and again right around the ticket.
