In the month since Joe Biden, 81, announced he was stepping aside and endorsing his Vice President, Harris and running mateBut other than some minor controversy over the way Walz described his military service record with the national guard, and some questions from economists over the wisdom of an economic plan released last week, it has faced few questions from progressives and activists whose support the ticket needs.
“The message we’re trying to send is that there is a movement, a diverse movement, from all sectors of society, the very sectors of society that the Democratic Party represents,” they said. “And they want an end to the genocide. They want an end to US aid to Israel and if the Democrats don’t do it, then we’ll make it happen ourselves.”
“If the Democrats lose, it’s their fault,” they said. “They’re the ones who are funding a genocide. They are the ones who are overseeing a deterioration in people’s rights in this country. At the same time, we recognise that Trump is a danger too.”, which has included at least $7 billion in military aid, triggered a backlash in states with large Muslim-American communities.
He added that he would not be voting for Ms Harris in November, though he said he would also not be backing Mr Trump.
