The British royal family has always been surrounded by a large staff to deal with everyday chores. However, the Prince and Princess of Wales have chosen to break with this tradition to give their children a more down-to-earth upbringing.
Far from the image of a pampered royal family, Kate and William aspire to a simple and normal life for their children. A source close to the family told The Sun newspaper, and was quoted by The Mirror, that George, Charlotte and Louis are actively involved in household chores. 'It would surprise people how ordinary things are at home,' the source said."'The children help set the table, clear their plates after they've finished eating and tidy up.
Despite her cancer treatment and convalescence, Kate has endeavoured to maintain a normal routine for George, Charlotte and Louis. She even refused to take on extra staff to help her manage the household chores.Evenings at Adelaide Cottage are punctuated by family meals, with everyone helping to prepare and serve. The children learn to cook and enjoy a variety of dishes, from curries to teriyaki salmon.
