The answer left many people surprised

Bob said he was on the show thanks to one of his daughters who put his name forward for the show, unbeknownst to him. Bob said he found out while at the Bingo as he said: "Here I am now." And the game was off to a good start when he put £10,000 into his jackpot. However, the wheel soon landed on GMB's Kate Garraway for a parenting question.
