Kate Garraway has paid tribute to her late husband Derek Draper as she revealed that their daughter Darcey opened her A Level results on what would have been his 57th birthday.
Kate Garraway's daughter Darcey visited her father Derek Draper's grave on his birthday to share her A Level results with him. The Good Morning Britain host broke her social media silence to share the news.
Kate, 57, shared a video of flowers blossoming in her garden and began: "Congratulations to all who got their #alevel results this week - huge achievement - even if you're disappointed in the results - don't be - you made it to the end and life has a way of working itself out in the best way for you."
Kate continued: "I'm at home and just noticed the roses I planted with @itv @loveyourgarden especially for Derek so we could wheel him out to enjoy the fragrance have suddenly burst into bloom! They haven't flowered all summer." She concluded: "Love to all and #happysaturday everyone! ! ! ! ". Kate's 1.3 million followers flooded the comment section as they offered kind words of support, reports the Manchester Evening News..Another commented: "Oh that is poignant. Best of luck Darcy with whatever you decide to do next."
