Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway stopped her Thursday news report when breaking news came into the show, with the presenter providing an update on the Post Office inquiry
Good Morning Britain was ground to a halt on Thursday, when Kate Middleton stopped her news report make a breaking news announcement.
Earlier this week, Post Office boss Paula Vennells broke down in tears as to she apologised for telling MPs that the Post Office was successful in every court case against subpostmasters. In what has been described as the "most widespread" injustice in British legal history, over 700 people were wrongly prosecuted for stealing from their branches between 1999 and 2015 when faulty software incorrectly claimed that money was missing from their accounts.
After stopping GMB for the breaking news, Kate said: "We begin with breaking news of a different story. In the last few moments, the former Post Office chief executive Paula Vennells has arrived at the public inquiry into the Horizon IT scandal to give evidence for a second day. Speaking about the scandal at the inquiry, Paula Vennells became emotional, saying: "I have been disappointed, particularly more recently, listening to evidence of the inquiry, where I think I have learned that people knew more than perhaps either they remembered at the time or I knew at the time.
