Kate Garraway's 'distressed' husband Derek fell from wheelchair in taxi home from hospital
Kate Garraway's husband Derek Draper fell out of his wheelchair after she used a taxi to take him home from hospital when faced with a five-hour wait for an ambulance.
GMB star Kate spoke about the upsetting incident during a debate on the show about 999 callers using their own transport because of ambulance waiting times. Since then, Derek has required round the clock care and assistance. Kate has been stoic throughout her husband's health battles, although she has admitted to feeling "depressed" at certain points.
