Good Morning Britain star Kate Garraway attended the Pride Of Britain Awards on Monday night and said it was 'hugely emotional' without her late husband Derek Draper
Kate Garraway looked absolutely stunning as she graced the Pride Of Britain Awards solo, for the first time since her beloved husband Derek Draper's passing. Derek, who was just 56 years old, lost his life in January after a prolonged fight against Covid-19 complications, which saw him spend the majority of four years in hospital care.
Chatting with the Mirror at the event, Kate shared her feelings: "It's always a hugely emotional night. You're sometimes moved by the stories in a sad way but also by the courage. Following Derek's death, Kate took a break from her presenting duties on Good Morning Britain to spend precious moments with her family. Upon her return to the screen, she acknowledged the pain of working on the documentary, expressing that though it was tough, it was important to help others understand and possibly gain more support.
