Kate Garraway has opened up about a terrifying health ordeal that saw her miss Good Morning Britain just moments before going on air.
In November last year, Kate woke up at 2am with chest pains and was unable to move her arm. Despite feeling unwell, she still went to work to present GMB and attempted to persevere despite her symptoms only getting worse. She told the Sunday Times she collapsed in A&E and was immediately given an ECG and urgent tests, which detected proteins indicative of a heart attack in her blood.
Elsewhere in the same interview, Kate vowed she would never stop caring for Derek. She said: “Caring for someone you love is a privilege, and I will never give up, but I want to champion the cause that everyone in my position faces because I know people are drowning trying to navigate through the care system.
