Princess Kate has hired public relations guru and celebrity chef Jamie Oliver's former head of campaigns, Alison Corfield, as her new top “ball-breaker” aide at Kensington Palace.
The Princess of Wales has appointed a new “ball-breaker” private secretary who is a"real straight-talker" and guaranteed to “shake things up” at Kensington Palace.
The “persuasive” mother-of-three who is described as “loud” and “out there” spearheaded both Jamie's childhood obesity and free school meal campaigns.“She is a bit out there for Kensington Palace, but there is a move to recruit more modernisers and people with private sector experience, not just civil servants,” a royal insider told The Sunday Times."She will be a massive breath of fresh air at Kensington Palace. She is loud, tons of fun and full of energy and enthusiasm.
“She’s a ball-breaker, a real straight-talker, very passionate, dynamic and genuinely funny," the source said.Ms Corfield will replace Kate’s former right-hand woman Hannah Cockburn-Logie who after two years on the job stepped down shortly after Queen Elizabeth's death citing to personal reasons. “I think this will be a good asset for her,” Ms Elsworthtold Sky News host Caroline Di Russo on Sunday night.
