The Prince and Princess of Wales introduced several changes to their famous fairytale wedding at Westminster in 2011 which didn't abide by ancient royal tradition.
Kate Middleton and Prince William have been praised countless amounts of times for their modern approach towards the monarchy as they carry out their duties and responsibilities.
While it's previously been noted that the royal couple broke a long-standing tradition with their bridesmaid dresses as well as Prince William not asking Michael Middleton's permission to propose to Kate, there was another major change on the day. While everyone was in awe of Kate's £35,000 wedding dress which featured handmade lace and a 9-foot train, it was her hair that attracted the most attention after it transpired that she had broken a 350 year royal tradition with her chosen hair-do.
Pearson claims: "Royal sources tell me that the royals indicated very strongly to Kate that they would prefer her to wear her hair up for this very special occasion. This was not the only tradition that William and Kate decided to break as it was also revealed that the Prince of Wales did not ask his bride's father for permission to take her hand in marriage.
