The Princess of Wales is said to be keen to attend the Olympics, but with her health top priority the risk of Covid could stand in her way.
Prince William and Kate Middleton are huge sports fans and the royal couple were in attendance at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. A hockey and tennis fan, the Princess of Wales, who was greeted by a standing ovation at Wimbledon in July, rarely misses out on the opportunity to watch sport live. But right now her cancer treatment and health overall remains top priority.

'I'm sure Kate would love to go to Paris with William to attend some of the events, but whether she does or not will depend on the advice of her doctors,' the Royal author Phil Dampier told Fabulous.
While these appearances were good news for royal fans, Dampier points out that she can't overdo it. 'Major sporting events are of course fertile ground for viruses and there's a lot of Covid around at the moment, so she wouldn't want to catch it,' he explained. The 22-year-old athlete missed the Olympic 1500 metre heats on 30 July.
