Kate Middleton released a rare statement congratulating tennis champ Andy Murray as he leaves Wimbledon.
Though she has yet to attend Wimbledon this year because of her cancer treatment, Kate Middleton made sure to wish retiring champion Andy Murray a heartfelt congratulations as he left the tournament. “An incredible #Wimbledon career comes to an end. You should be so very proud @andy_murray. On behalf of all of us, thank you! C,” she wrote on Twitter. This is Murray’s last season of tennis after an incredible career, and it isn’t only Middleton acknowledging his accomplishments.
Even if you’re not a tennis fan, please check out the video of a reporter praising Murray for winning his second Olympic gold in Rio in 2016, the “first person” to ever accomplish such a feat, only for Murray to remark that both Venus Williams and Serena did it before him. It’s really priceless. Princess Catherine has, understandably, been keeping her public appearances to a minimum while she receives medical treatment, but her latest update was a positive one.
