The Princess of Wales uses a certain catchphrase for her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis when they're misbehaving - and it's used at royal events
Kate Middleton reportedly has a catchphrase she uses to keep her children's behaviour in line when they're being naughty. Known as her 'secret code' it is said to help 'calm the children', which can be used during public royal events.
However, when Kate feels their antics are crossing a line, she resorts to a 'code' to issue a warning. This was revealed by royal expert Tom Quinn in his book Gilded Youth, An Intimate History of Growing Up in the Royal Family. George, Charlotte, and Louis are no strangers to strict rules even at home in Adelaide Cottage. When emotions run high or tempers flare, Kate and William opt for a 'sofa chat' with the young royals, ensuring they're supported rather than isolated with their feelings, guiding them through understanding the situation, reports the Mirror.
The source said: "Maria is firm but she never acts unilaterally with the children on discipline. Kate and William, along with Maria, are strict with the children but have this magic ability to appear not to be. It is a military operation but you would never guess it because they work ferociously hard on their children's upbringing and making it seem relaxed and happy for the three of them. They are very good at listening to the children but being firm.
