Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, has revealed that she never expected to become a member of the Royal Family but 'fell in love' with William, the now Prince of Wales
Kate Middleton has admitted becoming a member of the royal family was something she never expected, but then everything changed when she met and “fell in love” with Prince William in 2001.
The Princess of Wales, 41, made the admission when she joined a Dame Kelly Holmes Trust event in Bath and took on the double Olympic champion at a game of bean-bag noughts and crosses – but came out second best. The princess replied it was something she had not expected but she “fell in love” with William, now 40.
Speaking for herself, Dame Kelly said: “A struggle to kind of know that you can be accepted and fit in, and still learning every day.” She founded her national youth development organisation on the belief that every young person needs a champion. When she first arrived, Kate, who is known for her competitive streak, took part in an outdoor game to relax everyone, joining some of the eight students aged 11-14 being supported by the trust, while the former sports star joined the remaining pupils on an opposing team.
