In a new photograph released by the Royal Family, royal fans have been given a closer look at Kate Middleton's coronation day outfit and have pointed out one key difference
To celebrate King Charles III’s recent coronation, a series of four official photographs have been released which show His and Her Majesty joined by members of the Working Royal Family.
Judging by the new photographs, it seems as though the Princess of Wales made some changes to her Coronation day look between attending the service and having her picture taken at Buckingham Palace. The statement piece of jewellery has a special connection to the Royal Family since it was made for Elizabeth at the request of her father George VI. In total it features 105 loose diamonds in what forms a three-strand diamond design.
The new photographs have raised questions among royal fans about Kate’s dress however after eagle eyed fans noticed some differences between the Alexander McQueen gown worn at Westminster and the gown worn for the photographs. As a result, some social media users questioned whether Kate had changed into a second dress for the photographs or if the neckline had somehow been altered between the events.
Elsewhere, a third added that the V-neck neckline bore a striking resemblance to the velvet Alexander McQueen gown that she wore in 2019 while attending a diplomatic reception at London's Buckingham Palace.
