Kate Wright changes Instagram name after lavish wedding to Rio Ferdinand in Turkey
Kate Wright has taken her new husband Rio Ferdinand’s surname after they tied the knot in Turkey on Friday 27 September.
She said: “I always felt part of the family. It’s changed nothing, it’s just nice to have the same name as the children now. Everyone else sees it differently and now we’re married they see it as official, but honestly it’s always been that way, we are a family regardless.” In 2015, two years before Rio and Kate met, his beloved wife Rebecca tragically passed away from breast cancer, leaving behind their three children.
“Seeing Tate and Lorenz walk Kate down the aisle was particularly poignant and we wouldn’t have wanted to do it any other way. They were so proud and they couldn’t wait to do that, they felt important."
