Katherine Jenkins OBE has described when the Queen saved her from a potentially embarrassing moment
Katherine Jenkins OBE has revealed the sweet moment the Queen saved her from a potentially embarrassing moment early on in her career.
May sound silly, but if you were sat besides royalty there's no way you would want to put a foot wrong. The singer explained ahead of her performance this weekend: "In my mid twenties I was invited to Buckingham Palace for lunch. There were only six of us plus the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. "I looked across at Her Majesty’s and sensing my unease she caught my eye as if to say ‘follow me’. I watched her take the fruit, wash it in the water and dried it off with the gauze.""I was so grateful because she did it in such a caring way to save me embarrassment," she said, adding: "I loved her even more after that."
