Katie Holmes has shared a heartfelt tribute to her former Dawson's Creek co-star Obi Ndefo, who tragically passed away at the age of 51 earlier this week
Katie Holmes has paid tribute to a former Dawson's Creek co-star following his unexpected death. The 45-year-old film and television actress was deeply moved by the news of Obi Ndefo's passing earlier this week and expressed her sorrow on social media by reposting an image originally shared by Mary-Margaret Humes, 70, another Creek alumni.
Obi was renowned for his role in Dawson's Creek, playing the brother-in-law of Katie's character Joey Potter from 1998 to 2002. After news of his death was released, his other co-stars also paid tribute to the late actor, including James Van Der Beek and Joshua Jackson , who referred to Obi as a "dear friend".
Mary-Margaret, who played Katie's character's mother on the show, was one of the first stars of the American teen drama to post publicly about the news. She wrote: ""These words don't come easy. It’s hard for me to conceive that you have left us, my dear friend. You always were and always will be a bright shining light.
She also posted a video filled with sweet moments they shared, along with a picture featuring his Dawson's Creek co-stars.
