Katie Price has hit back at claims she misused a disabled parking badge while attending her pantomime show in Northwich.
Katie Price has responded to accusations that she 'misused' a blue disabled parking badge. The 46-year-old is currently performing in a pantomime production of Cinderella at Northwich Memorial Court with her friend Kerry Katona. The show opened earlier this month and closes on Tuesday night. Katie was photographed arriving at the venue on Sunday with her partner JJ Slater. Photos in The Sun showed Katie and JJ arriving with a hooded figure.
The publication claimed Katie could face a £1,000 fine for displaying the badge, as her son Harvey Price, who has Prader-Willi syndrome among other conditions, was reportedly not present. It is alleged that Katie and JJ parked a Nissan on the pavement, blocking the walkway. The Government website states that 'misusing' the badge in England is a criminal offence, potentially resulting in a £1,000 fine and confiscation of the badge. OK! has contacted Katie's representative for comment. The guidance also warns against parking 'where it would endanger, inconvenience or obstruct pedestrians or other road users', including on pavements, 'unless signs permit it', according to the Mirror. Katie denied the accusations, insisting she did nothing wrong. Speaking to her Instagram followers, she said: 'Just for the record, there's paparazzi outside the theatre every morning trying to get pictures. And because I've got Harvey with me, yes, he has disabled badges, and we drop him off around the corner and then drive by the back door so we can get some privacy for him and us going in and out.' Katie continued: 'And because the paps aren't getting their shots, they've gone to the papers saying we're using the car and using disabled badges ... but yeah, course, because we're with Harvey and Harvey's up here. So get over yourselves. You're not getting a picture.
