Katie Price was arrested at Heathrow Airport as soon as her flight into the UK landed on Thursday night, leaving boyfriend JJ Slater to collect her bags and go home alone
Katie Price and boyfriend JJ Slater have returned from their trip to Turkey, but Married at First Sight star JJ was seen leaving Heathrow Airport by himself on Thursday 8 August as Katie was detained by police immediately after she arrived in the UK. While JJ, 31, was spotted pushing Katie’s pink suitcases through the airport and heading home alone, Katie spent the night in a police cell and is due to appear in court on Friday.
Katie was aware there was a warrant out for her arrest before she went to Turkey, after she failed to appear at a bankruptcy hearing last month. She was declared bankrupt in 2019 and again in March last year. She was due to give evidence at a specialist bankruptcy court in London and did not provide an explanation for her absence.
“I would just like to thank everyone that has been showing support and compassion to my situation this week with my pending arrest. Despite what has been misreported I am now in route back from filming my documentary,” she wrote. “I was never just abroad being ignorant to what's going on and I stand by the facts, which is that there has been miscommunications here between a number of people here to do with my bankruptcy.
Couple Katie and JJ have been dating for six months, and she recently spoke about how she first found him attractive when she saw him on Married at First Sight, where he was in a relationship with Ella Morgan.
