Still, the jersey Balenciaga dress was enough to turn heads when she stepped out on the streets of London on Thursday.
Perry wore a body-con patchwork maxidress with ruffles made out of graphic tees. The top portion of the dress featured the brand's logo emblazoned on the black cotton material. The midsection was constructed of a charcoal gray T-shirt with bold letters printed on the hip. The skirt was comprised of a planet Earth tee and another gray shirt with a slit that allowed the star to walk.
“We’re kind of just having fun being a bit sarcastic with it, it’s very slapstick, and very on the nose,” she said in a behind-the-scenes clip shared to Instagram. “And with this set, it’s like, ‘Oooh, we’re not about the male gaze, but we really are about the male gaze,’ and we’re really overplaying it and on the nose because I’m about to get smashed which is like a reset, a reset for me, and a reset for my idea of feminine divine, and it’s a whole different world we go to after this.
