A Preston takeaway was slapped with a one star food hygiene rating because of a fridge which was too warm and a failure temperature check food.
According to the report, a damaged floor and sink with no hot water were breaches of structural requirements and therefore also failed to meet legal obligations. The shop's owner has now been ordered to carry out the improvements before the next visit or face the risk of enforcement notices. The shop is located on Friargate and serves up pizzas as well as Middle Eastern dishes including shawarma.
"You must either adjust or service the refrigerator. If the refrigerator is not able to hold high-risk foods at or below 8°C, it must be replaced."
