An expert has shared a cheap and easy way to get rid of bad smells in your dishwasher
A build-up of grime and trapped food are the culprit to a smelly dishwasher that is less than satisfactory at cleaning. A common solution to these odours is often a store-bought rinse aid, but these can come with a hefty price tag, costing around £10 per litre. However, an expert has revealed a homemade alternative that could leave your dishwasher sparkling and smelling fresh in no time - and it could cost as little as 82p.
' Further revealing her method, the expert continued: 'White vinegar is great for ridding your dishwasher of bad smells caused by trapped food and grime residue. 'For a deep clean once a month, put 250ml of white vinegar in a dishwasher-safe container and pop it on the top shelf of the empty dishwasher. Run it on a full cycle and this should help to break down any food, grease and soap scum build up inside the dishwasher.
