Respondents felt he was more honest
A second 'snap poll' for the ITV election debate has given Sir Keir Starmer a five-point victory over Rishi Sunak . The two leadership hopefuls were pitted against each other in the hour-long debate at MediaCity last night .
Seventeen per cent of respondents said they did not know who the winner was. Savanta's poll also found that Sir Keir beat Mr Sunak when speaking on the NHS and public services, at 63 per cent to 25 per cent. He was also put in the lead when discussing the economy and cost of living, at 52 per cent to Mr Sunak's 36 per cent. And the Labour leader was also given the lead on the subject of immigration, at 45 per cent to the Prime Minister's 37 per cent.
