Sir Keir Starmer has been in the public eye for decades before becoming an MP in 2015 and then Prime Minister in 2024 – and Brits can't believe how different he used to look
People were left gobsmacked after discovering what Keir Starmer looked like nearly 30 years ago - with some drawing comparisons to Batman actor Christian Bale.
However, Keir was a public figure long before he became a Member of Parliament in 2015. He had a distinguished career as a lawyer, working as a barrister specialising in human rights and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2002.He also held the positions of Director of Public Prosecutions and Head of the Crown Prosecution Service from 2008 to 2013. Yet, it's not his work that has sparked conversation after clips from his earlier career resurfaced online.
The clip, which has amassed more than 25,000 likes, features Keir as a 32-year-old barrister from the ITN Archives, discussing his belief that the court system needed to evolve to become a place where "the ordinary person feels they can go".
