The Prime Minister has remained neutral, but he told the Record whoever wins and loses must accept the outcome
Keir Starmer has urged both of the candidates vying to become the next US President to accept the result of the election. The Labour Prime Minister issued his call amid fears President Trump will go to the courts if Vice President Harris wins.
Starmer, who has refused to say who he wants to win, was asked by the Record if he believes both candidates should accept the result. Labour sources are desperate for Harris, a Democrat, to beat Trump in the photo-finish election. The Trump campaign made a formal complaint after Labour members travelled to the US to campaign for the VP.
