The Finnieston Crane and a busy Buchanan Street made appearances in the video

Glasgow made an unexpected appearance in a video by Keir Starmer celebrating St George's Day in England.

The UK Labour leader posted the video on social media to mark the day dedicated to England's patron saint - but included two separate shots of Glasgow. The video shows footage of Mr Starmer campaigning alongside shots of various places around the country, with the MP saying he is "visiting towns, villages, and cities right across England" as he paid tribute to the country's "spirit and pride".Sharing the video, Mr Starmer said: "On behalf of the Labour Party, I wish everyone in England a very happy St George’s Day.

Viewers were left baffled when Glasgow appeared in two shots - one of the Finnieston Crane and the other of Buchanan Street. One person said: "Ehh yeah, amazing. Great to see the Labour Party thinks the Finnieston Crane and Buchanan Street are in England. Very well done."One person also tweeted: "Glasgow is in this video. Glasgow is in Scotland. Not north England. Different country different patron saint.
