Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has made it clear that John Textor has no say in what happens at Everton currently despite his exclusivity to purchase a stake of the football club., the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – also pointed out there must be no conflict of interest for Textor with Everton and Crystal Palace.
Textor must ensure there is no crossover in his involvement with either club right now while he’s pursuing his option at Everton.The former Everton CEO highlighted that the situation would be serious if there was evidence Textor had any say in either club during this current period.“What he has is an exclusive option to potentially purchase the club, but in those contracts, they’ve got to be very clear that he has absolutely zero say until that deal is executed.
