Liam Payne, 31, died last month after falling from the third floor of his hotel suite in Argentina - with Kelly Osbourne now claiming he was 'crying out for help'
Reality TV star Kelly Osbourne has opened up about her belief that One Direction 's Liam Payne was "crying out for help" before his tragic death last month. The pop star, who was just 31, left fans devastated when he fell from the third floor of his hotel suite in Argentina.
Kelly, 40, revealed that during their last conversation, Liam seemed to be in a "really good place", while she was struggling, and he had been "checking in" on her. However, the former 'The Osbournes' star expressed her concern over Liam's declining mental health, sharing on TikTok: "To be alone in that mental state... and he was crying out for help and nobody helped him.
She added: "Last time we'd spoke, he was in a really good place and I wasn't so he was checking on me to make sure that I was ok and saying that if I ever needed anything then he was there... and the fact that there was nobody there for him just breaks my heart." Since Liam's untimely passing, over 100,000 people have signed a petition calling for the government to do more to safeguard the mental health of young artists. Commenting on the proposed 'Liam's Law', which would mandate "regular mental health check-ups any ongoing support during an artist's career", Kelly stated: "When it comes to protecting the artists, I don't feel that record companies protect their artists," reports the Mirror.
Prosecutors are yet to confirm the results of toxicology and tissue tests that Liam's father was informed would need to be completed before his son could be repatriated. This information was shared during his first meeting with Mr Madrea on October 21. The tragic death of Liam on October 16 at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel sparked an investigation, which was initially linked to a substance-induced 'psychotic episode' with no 'third-party' involvement.
