Former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher and his wife Liz have found a lucrative new venture on their farm: a renovated cottage that's attracting holidaymakers from far and wide. Liz Fletcher, wife of former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher, has shared the overwhelming response they've received after opening their renovated cottage on their farm to holidaymakers. On a recent episode of ITV 's Fletchers' Family Farm, Liz revealed that the success of Stag Cottage had 'gone above and beyond our expectations'.
The popular show, now in its second series, airs every Sunday morning on ITV1, giving viewers an insight into the Fletcher family's life near Leek, under the shadow of the Roaches. The couple live on their sprawling 120-acre farm with their four young children. Fans have watched as ex Emmerdale star Kelvin, who once played farmer Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, takes on real-life farming duties. During the latest episode, Kelvin explained: 'Like a lot of farmers we have to diversify to generate extra income to support our livestock and this year one of our most profitable streams has come from our cottage that we renovated and converted for people to stay in.' Liz then shared with viewers: 'Since we put the cottage up for rent as a holiday let, it has just gone crazy. We put it online for about two days, and the year literally sold out. So, we've now got bookings going into 2025. It's just gone above and beyond our expectations.', reports Stoke on Trent Live. Kelvin affectionately refers to the cottage as his wife's 'baby', joking that if he can't find her on the farm, he knows exactly where she'll be - 'spending her time on her new obsession'.
