'But it can be a nice to have someone who does something completely different so that there's like a break. But I've been with Matthew for so long, I don't remember other relationships,' she joked. The actress spoke openly about the complexities of relationships using her on-screen romance with Rufus Sewell — who acts as her husband on Netflix's The Diplomat — as an example.
Russell and Rhys were first linked back in 2002 after meeting at a mutual friend's kickball party, where the English actor drunkenly asked for her cell number. However, nothing sparked from the gesture at the time.
