Kerry Katona has candidly opened up about her recent split from fiancé Ryan Mahoney , admitting that she's come to realise he wasn't 'the one' after all. The pair, who had been together for six years, went their separate ways in November due to a 'breach of trust', with Ryan moving out of the home they shared in Cheshire. Despite initially sharing her heartbreak, the 44 year old former Atomic Kitten singer is now embracing single life with positivity.
In her weekly column, Kerry expressed her optimism for the year ahead: 'I'm feeling really good going into 2025 – it's going to be a great year. I'm not heartbroken any more and feel like I know that Ryan wasn't the one for me.' She added, 'I'm a single woman and am in the best relationship of my life, which is with myself. I know people do things like Dry January and diets, but I don't drink much anyway and like to work on myself every day, so I'm not into any of that. I'm just going to take it easy this month.' This newfound sense of self-love marks a significant change from last month when Kerry shared her anxieties about facing Christmas without Ryan for the first time - a prospect that left her feeling far from festive. Reflecting on her thoughts around the holiday season, she said in December, 'I'm struggling to move on. It's going to be so strange waking up on Christmas morning without him. I'm so used to having him there that it will be really weird. I'm not feeling very excited – it's my first Christmas as a single mum again. I thought I'd be with Ryan forever, so I didn't expect to spend Christmas alone.', reports the Mirror. She wrote: 'Last week I mentioned how Ryan and I were going through a rough patch and now he has moved out of the house.
