Of all the words that Kevin De Bruyne spoke about his future, these should stick out to Manchester City. However unexpected it may have been to hear the Belgian speaking positively about a move to the Saudi Pro League, those three words leave a stay at the Etihad as a firm option.

There is still every chance that he shows his enduring quality next year - especially if he avoids the injury woes that have plagued him recently - but it would need fortune to go with his world-class talent to put up more extraordinary numbers.
