Kevin De Bruyne was forced to make a Liverpool admission that might upset Manchester City fans
Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has revealed he supported Liverpool growing up but quickly shut down any possibly of swapping to the Reds.
It is no secret that De Bruyne supported Liverpool growing up. In recent years, quotes have emerged showing the playmaker as a youngster where he claimed to idolise former Anfield talisman, Michael Owen. "I loved Michael Owen, because I was really small like him and quick, too. I compared myself to him at the time. I liked Zidane and Ronaldinho too – those really skilful players."
He said: "When I was young? Liverpool," he was pushed on whether he would sign for the Reds but quickly dismissed the notion.
