Kevin de Bruyne's future at Manchester City is uncertain as he enters the final year of his contract. The Belgian midfielder is attracting interest from clubs in the United States and Saudi Arabia, with a move to the Saudi Pro League 'almost certainly' involving one of the league's PIF-backed clubs. While De Bruyne could leave City at the end of the season, he also has the option to sign a 12-month extension with Pep Guardiola's side.
Kevin de Bruyne reportedly has two possible destinations on offer if he decides to leave Manchester City next summer.
The report adds that if De Bruyne was to leave City at the end of the season and move to the Saudi Pro League, he would "almost certainly" join one of the league's PIF-backed clubs. The Athletic, however, adds that De Bruyne could end up signing a 12-month extension with Pep Guardiola's side, who he joined from Wolfsburg in 2015.
"I have one more year of contract, so I have to dwell on what could happen. My eldest son is now eight and knows nothing but England. He also asks how long I will play at City," De Bruyne told HLN. "Once the time comes, we will have to deal with it in a certain way."
