The prosecution began their opening arguments in Kevin Spacey’s trial inat Southwark Crown Court accused of sexually assaulting four men between the years of 2001 and 2013.On Friday, the trial opened with prosecutor Christine Agnew KC explaining Spacey’s profile to the juror while also laying out the allegations against him.
‘He is a citizen of the United States of America who for some time in the 1990s and 2000s was living in the United Kingdom, in London.Spacey was seen smiling as he headed into court on Friday ‘He is also, the prosecution allege, a man who sexually assaults other men. A man who does not respect personal boundaries or space, a man who it would seem delights in making others feel powerless and uncomfortable, a sexual bully.
The court heard how the first complainant was Spacey’s driver when the former House of Cards actor visited London, and the man contacted the police in 2022 to make a report of assault. ‘When he started driving him recalls that he was very “touchy feely” and someone who spoke quite openly about his sexuality.
