Kevin Thelwell has been speaking about the business conduced during the summer transfer window
Kevin Thelwell has revealed Everton did not sign all of their targets this summer - but he believes Sean Dyche now has a more balanced squad at his disposal.
The signing of Beto was the Blues’ final addition of the summer, with Ashley Young, Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison also joining during the course of the window. And now, in an in-depth review on the Everton website, ahead of the visit of Arsenal this weekend, Thelwell has provided his verdict on the window.
"Crucially, we are confident we head into this weekend's match and the season ahead with a better-balanced squad than the one we had last term. "Our view, along with Sean’s, was that if we could keep the same solid defensive base we had last season, retain our midfielders and then improve in the wide areas and striking options, we should be far better equipped for the campaign. I think we’ve achieved that.
