Former President Donald Trump is beating President Joe Biden in Arizona and Nevada, but GOP Senate candidates aren't having similar success.
polls in Arizona and Nevada, which were also sponsored by KLAS-TV, released on Wednesday showed Republicans Kari Lake of Arizona and Sam Brown of Nevada behind their likely opponents, Rep. Ruben Gallego and Sen. Jacky Rosen .showed Trump ahead of Biden 44% to 41%. Biden won both states in 2020 en route to an Electoral College victory, but the polls are part of a trend of Trump leading the president in several key swing states necessary to win in November.
Gallego, the likely Democratic Senate nominee in Arizona, leads Lake, the likely Republican Senate nominee in Arizona, 44% to 40%. The poll also showed 16% were undecided, and it came after Sen. Kyrsten Sinema announced she would not run for reelection in November.
