The five buildings, accessed from the A617 The Marr, are set to be of a range of sizes for mostly warehousing and logistics as well as offices. A total of 417 car parking spaces will serve the siteA new shared cycle and pedestrian footway along Abbott Road is set to join up with the existing pavement which extends as far as Penniment Cottage from its junction with the A617 .
The layout of the site has been changed recently following initial objections from council planning officers, according to planning documents. Mansfield District Council's regeneration department said the development would improve employment opportunities and grow the local economy. Council officers have advised councillors to approve the project, subject to financial contributions.
These include a £231,000 bus service contribution, £7,816.50 to mitigate the impact on birds, the submission of a travel plan and an agreement for maintenance of the landscaping around the site. Agent Commercial Estates Projects Ltd and HBD submitted the application for the project.
