Kia is ready to launch yet another dedicated battery electric SUV: the EV9. The large SUV will serve as the company’s flagship as it transitions into a sustainable mobility solutions provider in the era of electrification.Concept EV9 shown before

The name, EV9, comes from Kia's EV nomenclature, pairing the prefix ‘EV’ with the number ‘9’ , which represents the model’s segment among Kia’s dedicated electric vehicle lineup.

Like the Kia EV6, the Kia EV9 is built upon the company’s dedicated battery electric vehicle platform, Electric Global Modular Platform . The EV6 is launching for the Philippine market on March 21. Before its global debut though, Kia will fully reveal both the EV9’s exterior and interior design by the middle of the month. Its world premiere will likely happen at the Seoul Mobility Show later this month.
