) - If you’ve been watching FOX 10 News -- you know we are celebrating “World Down Syndrome Day!” And we’re not the only ones -- Thursday night at Saraland High School -- they were “Kicking 4 Kindness” -- a direct shot for Down Syndrome awareness.
“Today is just a day to celebrate them. These kids are just the same as us -- but I feel like they should be recognized -- these students are pretty awesome,” said Annalee Parks, Saraland Spartan Soccer Team, 12th grade.“So we decided to do shirts, and we did socks and the back of the socks says K4K -- Kicking 4 Kindness,” explained Annalee.“Our goal is to get out here -- do some fun stuff.
The real MVPs of the night -- went head to head at center field during halftime. In the gray jersey -- #21 Eli Little and #13 Hunter Thrash -- both Saraland Elementary students with Down Syndrome. Both stole the show with lots of applause from the crowd!!!
