Games, storytelling and crafting are on offer with artist and maker Kirsty Harries

Youngsters are being given the chance to hear what the trees in Kirkcudbright ’s Barrhill woods have to say during the October holidays.

The events are part of Dumfries and Galloway Woodlands’ half-term activities programme and are being led by artist and maker Kirsty Harries. “These sessions are for children and families to get creative and crafty in the woods whilst learning about the magic of trees.The Tree Tales events are being supported by Kirkcudbright Development Trust and backed by Dumfries and Galloway Woodlands, which aims to support trees, habitats and people that depend upon them.“We are all learning that fresh air and time outside in nature through the winter months is vital for our health.
