Manager Brendan Rodgers discussed transfer plans for the January window with Celtic owner Dermot Desmond this week - but has remained tight-lipped over a return for Kieran Tierney.
The 27-year-old came through the academy system at Celtic and was a key part of the side during Rodgers' successful first spell before "We'll always be linked with top players and especially players that are one of us. Kieran was an instrumental part of a really, really successful period when I was here.
"There will be always be issues around it - it's still ultimately a human decision," added Rodgers, who confirmed winger James Forrest will be out for six weeks and that right-back Alistair Johnston could miss Sunday's game at Dundee United."Willie is trying to be transparent and that is only good, because there's been talk for years that there's not that. He's trying to be open and honest. And hopefully that's helpful to the staff.
