Celtic have been handed a boost in their quest to bring Kieran Tierney back to Parkhead - with the emergence of talented Arsenal teen Myles Lewis-Skelly opening the door further for a January exit for the Scotland star.
And The Athletic report that the recent displays of midfielder star Lewis-Skelly in an unfamiliar left-back role for Arsenal has given Arteta assurances that the England youth international can compete with summer signing Riccardo Calafiori for the starting berth. In turn, they add that it increases the likelihood of Tierney and fellow bit-part players Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior being moved on this month.
